Schools can shape a Cambridge curriculum around how they want their students to learn, helping them discover new abilities and a wider world. Cambridge students develop the skills they need to achieve at school, university and work. Cambridge International helps students become confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged. Ready to tackle the demands of tomorrow’s world, capable of shaping a better world for the future. Booklist
Read more to view the book list and notebooks list for each Senior class. Prepared book sets are available from all branches/outlets of Tariq Book Stall and Ruby Book Shop. However, parents can buy books as stated in the book list from anywhere convenient to them.
Class VIII & IX
Our approach for classes 8 and 9 is much more activity based and research orientated. Inquiry-based learning is one of the most used methodology where the teachers encourage students to ask questions and consider what they want to know. Students then research their questions, find information and sources. Findings might be presented as self-made videos, websites, or formal presentations of research results.
At the end of class 8, students are given the opportunity to continue their O Level studies or choose the AKU-EB. The Entry requirements to continue with O levels is attaining more than 70% in core subjects like Mathematics, English and Science.
O-Levels
Being the board appearing classes, the students of classes 10 and 11 are focused more towards exams. Nevertheless, personalized learning remains a very important strategy of the teachers where students are made responsible for their own learning. Student self-direction and choice in the curriculum are hallmarks of personalized learning. They can progress to work beyond their grade level as they master topics, while students who need additional help have that time built into their daily schedules as well. G-Suite and the use of audio-visual aids remain a great help in the access of resources and provision of relevant material to the students. The use of Google Classroom at all levels also keeps the students in touch with the teacher in spite of all odds.
Selecting O-level subjects can be a daunting task, therefore our students have access to academic and career counselors, who can help them assess individual strengths, weaknesses, and help students find their interests and careers. Out of more than 40 subjects offered by Cambridge at O level, we have chosen 15 subjects to make a diversified curriculum for our students to increase their opportunities to go to their desired field of higher education.
